In Palau there's a phrase "ng chelutel ra demal" meaning, "they resemble their father" or "they are just like their father". This phrase became really special to me when I had a God moment one day.
chelutel | , v.s. | resembling someone in appearance or behavior; |

A little Background Story
Let me just take this time to introduce myself! I'm going to try to keep it simple, lol. My name is Tali (or Balie - like Bali, Indonesia) and I'm from a small island in the Pacific called Palau. I love Jesus and journaling! I've been scrapbooking and journaling ever since I was in elementary (specifically 6th grade) and I've loved it ever since. With journaling, I get to be creative and express myself either through words or whatever it is I feel like creating on a page. Over the years, journaling has become one of the ways I express myself to God and speak to Him. Little did I know that He will use it to speak to me!
My God Moment
One day, God spoke to me in profound moment of realization. It was an ordinary day when I decided to decorate a box (junk journal style) for my mother in law. I was gifting her something and I remember I had a box to put her gift inside but it was a plain kraft box. I remembered that my mother in law gifted me, on Christmas, a bunch of journaling materials so I decided to use them. I did what I could with what I had at the moment as I did not have access to most of my supplies. I also thought it would be a lot more meaningful to decorate her box what she gifted me with. I remember really enjoying the moment even with limited supplies.

My creation.
When I was done decorating the box, I looked at my final creation and I remember thinking to myself "Wow! This is really good." Haha, I know! Kinda funny but have you ever had those moments where you do something and you take a step back and admire what you did and probably thinking to yourself what a great job you did? I can't be the only one... lol
Well, I think to myself "Wow! This is really good." and all of a sudden my mind went back to Genesis when God created. God created everything in this world, including me, and said it is good. In Genesis 1:26-31, it talks about when God created mankind in His image and at verse 31a NIV it says " God saw all that he had made, and it was very good!..."
I can't explain the feeling I felt. Overwhelmed with joy is probably the best way I can say it. I remember thinking to myself, "Wow! I'm just like Him! I'm just like my Father". I knew the feeling of creating something and thinking it is good because He did the same when He created His creations! He said that when He created mankind!
I knew my love of creating comes from my Father, the Creator! I create because He first created! I felt so close to God because I felt seen or like I belong! I knew I belonged to Him because I'm just like Him! I'm made in His image! I resemble Him, my Father, my Creator! Ak chelutel ra Demak!
A Bible verse and a song would perfectly conclude this blog: Psalm 148 & 'Creator by Phil Wickham"
Let's Praise HIM
Psalm 148
1 Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights above.
2 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.
4 Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created,
6 and he established them for ever and ever— he issued a decree that will never pass away.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding,
9 you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,
11 kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth,
12 young men and women, old men and children.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
14 And he has raised up for his people a horn,[b] the praise of all his faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to his heart.
Praise the Lord.

Praise Him all you creatures great and small
Praise Him summer, winter, spring and fall
Hollowing wind, rushing streams
Rolling hills and crashing seas
Lift your voice and worship your Creator
Praise Him gleaming moon and burning sun
Praise Him all you spinning spheres above
Shining stars, golden beams
Choir made of galaxies
Lift your voice and worship your Creator
Holy
You are holy
Earth and heaven
Sing forever
Holy
You are holy
All creation
Praise Creator
Praise Him who stepped into what He made
Paid our debt and pulled us from the grave
Every heart He set free
Every soul that's been redeemed
Lift your voice and worship your Creator
Holy
You are holy
Earth and heaven
Sing forever
Holy
You are holy
All creation
Praise Creator
This my great and everlasting hope
I've been saved and heaven is my home
I can't wait for that day
When I see You face to face
For I was made to magnify my Maker
Yes I was saved to walk beside my Savior
I'm created to worship my Creator
Holy
You are holy
Earth and heaven
Sing forever
Holy
You are holy
All creation
Praise Creator
He is your Father too...
The more you get to know Him, the more you know that God is so personal. To me, He is my Father, my Friend, and He created me. He didn't just create me, He created me and thought I was very good! How can I not be overjoyed by this realization?! How can I not praise Him? How can I contain it? I can't!! That's why I'm sharing it with you, hoping you'll share in this experience and find comfort and encouragement from it!
I pray that my sharing blesses you! Take heart that you are His creation too and He wants a relationship with you! Find that something that you take after Him because He is your Father too!
🧡 Sincerely, Balie
